Accepted exchanges can now be cancelled later

Sometimes circumstances change after an exchange has been accepted, or both parties agree not to proceed after all. From now on, accepted exchanges can also be cancelled at a later stage.

Not every match goes all the way to the final whistle. Most exchanges on bildertausch.ch follow the perfect game plan: both parties agree, the stickers are sent, and everyone can celebrate the final whistle with a smile.

Sometimes, however, things do not go according to plan. Maybe your exchange partner was transferred during the transfer window ;), maybe circumstances changed, or maybe both parties simply agreed that the exchange should no longer take place.

Until now, it was not possible to cancel an exchange once it had been accepted by both parties. If circumstances changed or a problem arose, the only option was often to close the exchange normally and indicate that no stickers had been sent or received.

That changes today.

From now on, exchanges that have already been accepted by both parties can also be cancelled at a later stage. The corresponding option is available directly within the exchange.

Fair play applies here as well: please only use this function if you have agreed the cancellation with your exchange partner beforehand. If your exchange partner has disappeared from the pitch despite your attempts to contact them and has not responded for an extended period of time, you may of course cancel the exchange as well.

This new feature provides greater flexibility and helps distinguish cancelled or abandoned exchanges from exchanges that were successfully completed.
